This past week, our west-coast-based producer/editor Sara Booth, celebrated an exciting film award win at the DocsDF Festival in Mexico City! Sara was co-producer and co-editor of Of Kites and Borders, which was awarded Best Documentary, Mexican Feature by the festival.

The film, directed by Yolanda Pividal, tells the story of the daily struggle to be a child living on the US-Mexico border through the eyes of four working children in the city of Tijuana.

Over 150 movies represented 27 countries at DocsDF, which is considered an essential documentary festival in Latin America. Earlier this year Of Kites and Borders also won Best Documentary at the San Diego Film Festival.
